A local crossword!

I am so excited to be able to share this news because it’s been a long time in the works. Beginning with July/August, I will be creating a custom puzzle for each issue of Buffalo Spree magazine!

I’ve had puzzles published in all the major publications–The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, GAMES magazine etc–so you can expect this puzzle to feature all the same types of themes, wordplay, and contemporary entries that you enjoy in those puzzles but with as much as possible geared  specifically to Buffalo. Consider it part puzzle, part Buffalo trivia.

The theme for the first puzzle centers around Buffalo Spree’s Best Of selections. You can try to get them on your own (and seasoned solvers will probably prefer this), but if you need help, the answers will be right there in the magazine so you can cheat and learn about the Best of Buffalo at the same time.

I know that not everybody is a puzzle fan, but I hope that you’ll give it a try. I’d love to have your feedback, as well as your ideas for Buffalo-themed words to add to my database. (Many thanks to my Facebook friends who helped me with my initial list–WOW! You’ll be seeing many of those words in upcoming puzzles!)
I have created puzzles for gifts and seen how much the recipient enjoys the personalization that can only come from custom construction. This is my gift to Buffalo puzzle fans and anybody else who wants to come along for the ride. I hope you enjoy.
